Ford has unveiled its latest electric vehicle, the Ford E‑Tourneo Courier, at a special event in Copenhagen, Denmark. The new model is a compact van that offers zero-emission driving, a spacious interior, and smart connectivity features for urban customers.

The Ford E‑Tourneo Courier is part of Ford’s plan to electrify its entire European commercial vehicle range by 2024. The company expects that by then, two-thirds of its commercial vehicle sales will be all-electric or plug-in hybrid.

The Ford E‑Tourneo Courier is based on the popular Ford Tourneo Courier, which has been sold in Europe since 2014. The electric version has a range of up to 186 miles (300 km) on a single charge, according to the WLTP test cycle. It can be recharged to 80% in about 45 minutes using a 50 kW DC fast charger.

The Ford E‑Tourneo Courier has a 60 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that powers a 100 kW (136 PS) electric motor. The motor delivers 240 Nm of torque and can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 11.3 seconds. To optimize the range, the top speed is limited to 81 mph (130 km/h).

The Ford E‑Tourneo Courier has a spacious and versatile interior that can accommodate up to five passengers or up to 1,656 liters of cargo space with the rear seats folded. The van also has a sliding side door and a wide-opening rear door for easy access.

The Ford E‑Tourneo Courier electric van is equipped with a range of smart features that enhance the driving experience and safety. For example, it has a 10-inch touchscreen with SYNC 4 infotainment system that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also has a wireless charging pad, a digital instrument cluster, and a rotary gear selector.

The Ford E‑Tourneo Courier also has advanced driver assistance systems such as Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection, Lane-Keeping System, Traffic Sign Recognition, Intelligent Speed Limiter, and Rear View Camera. It also has FordPass Connect, which allows the driver to remotely monitor and control the vehicle’s status, charging, and location via a smartphone app.

The Ford E‑Tourneo Courier is expected to go on sale in Europe in early 2024. The price has not been announced yet, but it is likely to be competitive with other electric vans in the market. The Ford E‑Tourneo Courier will be produced at Ford's plant in Valencia, Spain, where the company has invested $1.2 billion (€1 billion) to expand its electrification capabilities.

The Ford E‑Tourneo Courier is an attractive option for urban customers who need a practical and efficient electric vehicle for their personal or professional needs. The Ford E‑Tourneo Courier combines the benefits of electric driving with the versatility and comfort of a compact van. It is also a smart and connected vehicle that offers convenience and safety features for the modern driver.

The Ford E‑Tourneo Courier is one of the many electric vehicles that Ford is launching in Europe as part of its commitment to reduce its carbon footprint and offer more sustainable mobility solutions. The company aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 globally and by 2030 in Europe.

The Ford E‑Tourneo Courier electric van is a clear example of how Ford is innovating and adapting to the changing needs and preferences of its customers. The Ford E‑Tourneo Courier is not just a van, it is a 100% electric van for urban mobility. @via Ford.
