The Peugeot e-Lion project has just been unveiled. The product line's future, as envisioned by the brand, can be seen in this current endeavor. Peugeot has announced that from 2023, its whole lineup of vehicles will be electrified, and by 2025, the Lion brand will offer an entirely electric lineup.

Peugeot provides a comprehensive overview of the project by detailing every aspect. In 2023, the Peugeot 208, 2008, 308, 3008, 5008, and Peugeot 408 will all use a new 48-volt mild hybridization engine to allow Peugeot to electrify its lineup fully. This cutting-edge drivetrain is powered by a PureTech engine rated at either 100 or 136 horsepower. For the latter, a brand new six-speed dual-clutch transmission is being developed. With this new engine, you may expect a 15% reduction in fuel consumption. Peugeot claims that its C-segment SUV powered by this engine will be able to run in an emission-free mode for more than half the time.

Five new fully electric Peugeot models (the Peugeot e-308, Peugeot e-308 SW, Peugeot e-408, Peugeot e-3008, and Peugeot e-5008) will debut between 2023 and 2025. The Peugeot e-308, available in both sedan and break body styles, will feature a 156 hp electric powertrain, allowing for 400 km of range.

Stellantis's new STLA Medium platform will be the foundation for the Peugeot e-3008 when it launches in the second half of 2023. Three engines, including one with four-wheel drive and a range of up to 700 kilometers, will be available for the Peugeot e-3008. The Peugeot 5008 model, meanwhile, will hit the market afterward.

The French maker claims that novel thinking was crucial to developing the Peugeot e-Lion project. The Inception concept revealed at CES in Las Vegas already offered us a glimpse of the brand's future in terms of new technology. The company then declared that the next iteration of i-Cockpit, including an all-new user interface, would be released in 2026.

Moreover, Peugeot provides an early glimpse of the brand's planned aesthetic shift. Peugeot has released a teaser graphic showing us their future lineup of seven vehicles. Sedans, crossover utility vehicles, and coupes of varying body styles and sizes make up the Peugeot brand.

For all the success Peugeot has had with its revised lineup in recent years, the company has no plans to rest on its awards. The following two years should then witness a serious offensive from Peugeot. If the Chinese horoscope is accurate and we have reached the year of the Rabbit, then the following few years could be represented by Peugeot.
